![]() And that almost seems like a shame to me - The Outer Worlds' level cap was maybe a little low before, but I always felt like I got all the perks I really needed for my builds on each playthrough. Speaking of.ģ) I don't remember how many perks are in this game, but are there going to be any new ones? Because I feel like there probably aren't going to be too many that players will be missing if they max out. Just feels weird to me that you don't get one last perk for maxing out. Personally, while I know y'all probably won't like me saying this, from a design standpoint I think I would've changed perks to being dispensed every 3 levels if I knew I was ending on 99. Has Obsidian altered their experience-giving info to accommodate this massive cap raise? Or is this something that they're only expecting total maniacs to do? I really hope it's the former, being able to hit the cap relatively easily was something I really liked about the game during its main years of activity.Ģ) so, assuming people can and bother to get to Level 99, are we just gonna end on a dead level that doesn't give a perk? I know they did that in the Gorgon days, but I really didn't like that then and I don't love the thought of it now. (Assuming no new ones added and no missions botched) But that still leaves you with a 40+ level journey to hit the new max, without access to the missions that got you this far in the first place. (1 without DLC, 2 when Peril on Gorgon was the only DLC and 2 with both DLCs available) And at the current level scaling, I can see there being enough unfinished missions left after you hit the old level cap to get 10, maybe 15 more levels. 99 just doesn't feel like the right landing spot to me, for a few reasons.ġ) how do they expect anybody to reach that level? Or are they expecting anybody to reach that level? The earlier versions of the game did a good job with scaling the experience you earned from completing quests to keep you chugging along, I've maxed my level in all five of my previous playthroughs. I agree with the idea of raising the level cap, but I would've probably stopped it at like 60. ![]() Sorry if this has already been talked about, but the level cap increasing to 99 with the Spacer's Choice edition is a little surprising to me.
